Steve and Diana Walker are the successful owners of Walker Tradesman Plumbing, one of the largest residential and commercial plumbing contractors serving West Texas and New Mexico. After a few years, it was becoming very clear it was time for them to expand their services to include construction. Our customers were the driving force in establishing Walker Tradesman Construction. As we provided plumbing services, the job would sometimes require another contractor to come in to repair drywall and tile.
Walker Tradesman Construction was established in September of 2010. We began with one carpenter repairing sheetrock and painting and then other minor jobs such as repairing tile when bathtubs were changed out. It soon grew into installing walk in showers and then bathroom remodels and kitchen remodels.
Our vision is to bring together a network of tradesman highly skilled in each of the trades to provide excellence in the area of professionalism, technical ability, and craftmanship. We listened to our customers and what they came to know about our plumbing company, they expected the same out of our construction company. That is why we selected the name Walker Tradesman to be inclusive of all the trades. What we discovered is that we needed consistency in our messaging, not only to our customers but to our employees as well. We needed to identify basic values that would be applicable to both companies and allow us to work together as a team to connect better with our customers.
We are committed to holding our employees to the highest of ethical standards. Every day we have to decide to do the right thing and then do it. We have to be able to communicate effectively with our customers. Knowing that everyone we come in contact with each day are our customers. We have to continuously grow and develop personally and professionally. By thinking about how our actions affect others, sharing a mutual desire to succeed, and by going above and beyond our customer’s expectations we are fulfilling our mission.

In November of 2018, Walker Tradesman Construction received one of the highest honors a business can receive, The Abilene Better Business Bureau Torch Award for market place ethics.
